Conifer Energy is recognized as a leader in providing innovative insurance and risk management solutions to the energy industry. In many cases, this means going beyond the services typically provided by insurance brokers. We believe that the main areas that set us apart from our competitors are as follows:

Wholesale Insurance Brokerage
At Conifer Energy, we have developed strategic relationships with a broad spectrum of insurance carriers that serve the energy marketplace. Because of these relationships, we are able to offer a wide variety of coverage options in order to design an insurance program that best fits your needs. We believe that our knowledge of the energy industry and access to insurance markets provides us with a distinct competitive advantage.

Risk Management
Perhaps the best means to minimize insurance costs over the long-term is to proactively manage the inherent risks in the operations of any organization. This is particularly true in the energy industry due to the hazardous nature of the products and their wide spread use. At Conifer Energy, we have invested considerable resources in order to identify these inherent risks and to develop risk management programs that have proven to reduce losses over time. With management’s support, we work closely across all functional areas to highlight safety awareness and to ensure that risk management becomes part of the culture of the organization.

Alternative Risk Management Solution
A new captive management program which provides long-term risk management solution is the Energi Program. Developed for fuel distribution companies in all 50 states, Energi offers key advantages including coverage, stability and claims management with a focus on risk management and loss prevention. Energi's approach is to work with those energy companies that maintain or are willing to adopt "Best Practices."

Risk & Exposure Assessment
A key element of our SafetyPLUS™ program is a thorough risk and exposure assessment performed by either a member of the Conifer Safety team or by an approved subcontractor. Our experience in the energy industry allows us to quickly identify areas of significant exposure along with practical solutions for the elimination of these exposures. In addition, we provide ongoing training and an annual site assessment to monitor operations and offer insight into the industry’s “best practices”.
